Understand Behaviour. Improve Performance.
EconiqMind is a behavioural intelligence consultancy helping individuals, leaders, and organisations improve decision-making, strengthen teams, and navigate change with clarity and confidence.
Using applied neuroscience, behavioural science, and psychological profiling, we translate human behaviour into practical strategies for leadership, performance, communication, and organisational effectiveness.
From leadership development and team dynamics to organisational change, EconiqMind helps people and organisations work more effectively, lead more adaptively, and perform sustainably in complex environments.
About

Founder and CEO of EconiqMind
I’m Thana Groenewald, founder of EconiqMind.
I hold a BA in Psychology and Philosophy from the University of Pretoria and a Master’s degree in Economics and Psychology from Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University. My academic background sits at the intersection of how people think, make decisions, and behave, both individually and within systems.
Throughout my studies and professional exposure, I became increasingly aware of a gap between theory and practice. People are expected to make critical career, performance, and leadership decisions without a clear understanding of their behavioural patterns, strengths, or decision-making tendencies. At the same time, organisations rely on generic models that often fail to reflect how people actually work and perform.
EconiqMind was created to address this gap.
By integrating behavioural science, psychological insight, and economic thinking, EconiqMind helps individuals and teams gain clarity on how they think, work, and perform.
My work focuses on translating behavioural data into practical strategies for career direction, performance, and sustainable growth. EconiqMind is not about motivation or labels, but about understanding behaviour and using that understanding to support better decisions, stronger alignment, and long-term effectiveness.

Credentials
Neuroscience for Change certification
APMG International Accredited
Thana holds the APMG International accredited Neuroscience for Change Certification, a rigorous, evidence-based qualification that goes beyond traditional change management by grounding leadership and organisational practice in how the brain actually responds to uncertainty and change.
The certification is built around the PEPE model (Pain, Energy, Peaks and Valleys, Error detection) framework for understanding why resistance to change is a natural neurological response, not a personal failing. Rather than treating resistance as something to overcome, the model equips practitioners with practical brain-based strategies to build resilience, sustain motivation, and engage people more effectively through periods of change.
This framework allows EconiqMind to design brain-friendly approaches to leadership, communication and organisational change; helping leaders prioritise wisely, communicate with empathy, and support teams through uncertainty with clarity rather than friction. It directly underpins EconiqMind work in Change Facilitation and Leadership and Cognitive Performance, translating neuroscience into practical tools for real organisational impact.
